neurotoxins
Neurotoxins (also known as Botox®) is a naturally occurring protein that is administered through the skin to work on the underlying muscles of the face. It has many uses, not limited to changing facial aesthetics. At unique dental care, we often use Botox in TMJ (Teromandibular joint) cases. The protein acts as a relaxant to help ease the pressure of clenching, which can often reduce pain associated with the condition. This is not an aesthetic procedure and does not alter the shape of the face.
Neurotoxins can also be used in facial aesetic cases, such as reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. the effect is the relaxant of muscle contractions that provides a more youthful, smooth appearance.
Dr Ebar Hamood is fully qualified in the administration of neurotoxins and can be seen for a consultation.

dermal fillers
Dermal Fillers, which use Hyaluronic acid, help to hydrate and give volume to the skin. Dentists can use this to fill in the lines created in the face that often come with age. These are temporary by nature and usually last between 6-12 months before being absorbed by the body. The results are immediate and can be used on the lips, cheeks, and facial areas.
